Everyday notary and document help

A clear next step for your document.

Have a ready document that needs notarization? Start with upload or registration. If the instructions, certificate or overseas requirements are unclear, choose document review first.

Notary Geek handles straightforward requests as well as more involved document work. We review the file or instructions before sending you into a step that does not fit.

Choose by what you need

What would you like to get done?

Start with the outcome, then review the details that matter. This helps avoid paying, verifying ID, booking or shipping documents before the necessary steps are clear.

  • Online notarization

    Notarize a ready document

You are the signer and have a complete, unsigned document that needs an online notarial act.

    What we handle
We review the document before the session and check the notarial certificate and applicable signer requirements.
    Scope to check
The document, signer and receiving party's instructions must fit online notarization.
    What happens next

Open the existing upload or registration workflow; the applicable identity and session steps follow.

    Upload or register
  • Documents for use abroad

    Arrange apostille or document handling

You know where the document will be used and need help with its certifications or delivery.

    What we handle
We review the issuing authority, any notarial state, destination instructions and shipping needs before agreeing the work.
    Scope to check
Notarization, government certification and shipping are separate steps; not every document needs all of them.
    What happens next

  • Official and company records

    Find the right certified record

You need a record issued by a state or agency, such as a certified company record.

    What we handle
We help identify whether the work involves obtaining an official record or arranging its onward authentication.
    Scope to check
Notarizing a photocopy does not replace the issuing office's certified record.
    What happens next

Read the document-type guide to distinguish official records from privately signed documents.

  • USPS Form 1583

    Complete the mailbox notary step

Your mailbox provider has asked you to complete Form 1583.

    What we handle
We review the form and signer requirements for the notary step using the mailbox provider's instructions.
    Scope to check
The mailbox provider or CMRA has its own acceptance and registration requirements.

Visit the dedicated Form 1583 guide before starting its workflow.

Review before you commit

Unclear instructions deserve attention before signing.

Foreign-signer identity requirements, a platform's lack of a no-SSN option, disputed recipient instructions, unsupported state-law claims, wet-ink requirements, unclear apostille acceptance or missing documents can change the next step. A request needing extensive review or support may require paid review, a quote, a different service or a decline.

We explain those issues before proceeding. The aim is to avoid an online platform that cannot produce the required document, a notarial certificate that does not fit, or a trip to a FedEx counter for an online service that is not performed there.

What the review gives you

A clearer explanation of the document, certificate, identity and delivery requirements, including what remains unresolved. A platform label or a completed session alone does not establish that the finished document meets those requirements.

Review the document and instructions

The simpler option may be local

A free bank notary can be perfect when the document is already solid.

If the document language and notarial certificate are correct, the signer can appear in person with valid ID, and the receiving party accepts the result, a free bank notary or low-cost local notary may be the simplest option.

When apostille, scan-back, paper original, foreign use, company records, certificate wording, or shipping matters, send the document or instructions first so we can decide whether Notary Geek should handle the path or point you to the simpler option.

About the guidance and its scope

Notary Geek welcomes ordinary notary requests as well as complex document work. It should not be described as a service only for foreign signers, no-SSN cases, litigation or difficult apostilles. Its routing model helps identify exceptions early so straightforward work can stay straightforward.

Read the Notary Geek routing model. It distinguishes official requirements, provider statements and transaction evidence; it does not replace review of your document.
